Colossians: not by human hands

Have you ever found yourself second-guessing a key life decision or conviction?

You've settled on a decision and then you’ve set out on a course of action - yet something causes you to second-guess yourself. Paul’s letter to the Colossian church was written as an antidote (perhaps an inoculation) against the church second-guessing its devotion to Jesus!

In Jesus we already possess everything we could ever have spiritual need of. We have been freed from our past spiritual impotence and alienation from God. We’ve been formed into the very body of Christ himself! We’re destined to share in Christ’s own exalted glory. And all this has been achieved “not by human hands”, but by the glorious might of God’s power (Col 1:11-13 and 2:11). What could there be to second-guess about that!?
